I want to dropship from a wholesaler who isn't offering that option, their MOQ is 30 and they recommend to order about 20 items for sample. I want to sell private label items.

Is it a good idea for a startup to buy in bulk and store it in a fulfillment center? What do you guys recommend?

The truth is it really depends on the margins of the products you are buying. I recommend that it is actually better to buy in bulk of quantities between 30 to 50 and STORE AT YOUR ADDRESS; depending on the size of the products. Buying in bulk and storing it at your place allows you to increase your margins and reduce your costs!
