Difficulty dealing with suppliers when new to online selling

I have spent hours in the Directory researching and looking for a supplier that will dropship my products.

I found two so far. However, one has not responded to my email which I sent through SaleHoo. The other wants my store up and running before they will send me their documents. Obviously, I need their information first so I can have a store. I need products, photos etc.

Total waste of time. I regret purchasing a subscription to this service, which has been totally useless for me.

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your offer to help, but I doubt you'll get anywhere with them. I've been told by three suppliers to get back to them AFTER my site is up and running. Needless to say I won't have a site up and running without products. I've been as transparent as possible. I have all my business licenses and I'm very serious about opening an ecommerce store. If I can't find any US suppliers to provide the products I need in this niche, I will look into changing my niche and see if I have better luck.

I can see why so many ecommerce businesses do business with China and other countries, considering how difficult US suppliers are to deal with.

It's like trying to get your first job, but no one will hire you unless you have experience.

I can understand your frustration Norma, it's like chasing the end of never-ending string sometimes. If these are SaleHoo listed suppliers I would still like to have support clarify what the issue is for everyone's benefit and who knows, we may be able to negotiate a way around it.

Never know if we don't at least try :)

We don't drop ship, so I guess it's a little different. However sometimes people forget who the customer is. Because we do everything on a First Come, First Serve basis we don't really have that problem. We treat New Sellers, Old Sellers, Online Sellers, and Offline Sellers that same at our Online Weekly Wholesale Liquidation Sale Link hidden: Login to view.

Again people need to understand the customer is still in charge, at least for the most part.

Don't give up! I only WISH to be contacted by someone like you! I am new to SaleHoo, but have been an art glass professional since 1991. Customer service is a skill, and I am sorry those folks may have missed their chance with you.

I don't get why they would hold you up on technicalities if you have biz license(s). I didn't see what your niche is, but I really hope this works out for you.
