I apologize in advance for the long post, but hopefully this will help some folks avoid the issues I have been having with this Drop Shipper.
I have been having issues with the product quality of one of the Drop Shippers I found in the Directory. I will not list their name here as I am simply reaching out to see if SaleHoo has a way for me to submit this Drop Shipper for further review, or if there is a way SaleHoo can caution other sellers on the quality of the products from this drop hhipper.
I have sold a total of 5 items from this drop shipper, and i have had to issue refunds on all 5 of them! Obviously this has cost me money, time, and credibility on eBay. Here are the details of the interactions I have had with this drop shipper:
First let me tell you that the Drop Shipper assured me that all of their products are Brand New! However based on feedback from my buyers, I believe that some (if not all) of their products are returns or refurbished. You can understand how bad that makes me look when I list an item as "New", then my customer receives a clearly used item.
Item 1: Gaming Headset. This was a low ticket item, sale price $25. I sold this item on eBay as new using the picture provided to me on the drop shipper's website. When my customer received the item it was missing pieces that were shown in the picture. My customer stated that the item was also "clearly used" and even "still had hair on it from the person who had it before him." I reached out to the drop shipper's Customer Service who again assured me that all items were Brand New. The customer sent me pictures of the item, and it was clearly not brand new. I refunded the customer and advised them to just throw the item in the trash.
Item 2: Another Gaming Headset. I should have learned my lesson the first time, but I was willing to give the drop shipper another chance. Again, item arrived missing pieces. Drop shipper was willing to issue refund if I sent the item back to them at my expense. Again this was a low ticket item, so I just took the loss and issued the refund.
Item 3: Remote Controlled Car. This sale never left the gate. Drop shipper said they had them in stock but when I placed the order it was out of stock. I refunded my customer and apologized. This one wasn't that big of a deal, but I wanted to include it to illustrate that this drop shipper does not have updated stock quantities on their website.
Items 4 and 5: Quadcopter. This one was the last straw, and fortunately I had a buyer who was super patient and awesome to deal with. Customer received their quadcopter and immediately advised me that the box had been opened. He could not get the remote control unit to connect. I offered to exchange the item rather than refund, the customer agreed. I paid for all additional shipping back to me and back to the drops shipper so I am already losing money at this point, but I am trying to display exceptional customer service. Customer gets their replacement quadcopter, again states that the item looks used, and in fact has missing pieces. I take the return and refund the customer. Drop Shipper agrees to refund my money if I return the item to them at my expense. I returned the item a week ago, so I will update this post later to let you know if I actually get a refund or not. With total shipping costs factored in, I have lost about $40 on this sale. But more importantly, I have spent a lot of time on this as has my customer. Again, I am very fortunate that this customer is very understanding, otherwise I am certain I would have received negative feedback.
