Low cost shipping from China to US for light product samples

I have a product I've invented and found a manufacturer in Dongguan and I need to find the cheapest way to ship a 39x31x29cm box at 6kg to US. This small box holds 1000 samples. They can send it DHL for $105 which seems like a ton. They don't drop ship and no one else makes this product so I'm needing to figure out how to ship at low cost for doing business with this company. Anyone have ideas or suggestions or something....some shipper that works for them? Thanks!

Is shipping time a priority for you?

Sea freight is going to be cheaper than air, but a lot longer of course.
