I know (actually we all know) that finding the right product to sell is often one of the hardest steps to complete. Oftentimes you will hear experts tell you to sell a product or product category that you are passionate about - something you enjoy so a hobby would typically be a good fit. For first time sellers it is best to avoid product categories that are know to have high competition like electronics but if you must best to consider selling accessories like phone chargers, USB cables, phone casings and screen protectors - As these are smaller, they will also require a smaller investment, smaller storage space (should you buy through wholesale) and they are a lot easier to package and ship to your customers. Accessories generally have a faster turn out rate compared to the electronic product themselves.
Your best option to stay competitive is to find a profitable niche. But what is a niche?
A niche is typically a product that has a market high demand with a relatively low supply. It can be any product, not necessarily a hot trend or a new product. I know it may sound simple but its not - finding a niche can and will take a lot of market research, fortunately at SaleHoo we have our very own Market Research Lab to help you make niche hunting a lot easier and faster.
Every week we endeavor to post a new niche product which you can sell in your stores or through eBay and/Amazon or other selling platforms.
Here are the latest Monday Market of the Week blogs featuring a new niche product each week:
