Hello,

I am new here and I hope somebody can help me answer this. I am working on opening my own web store that sells branded cosmetics (such as Maybelline, L'oreal, Revlon, Essie, W7,...). I've found a few great suppliers that I want to buy wholesale from.

However, my concern is that if it's legal to just buy wholesale and resell on my website or if I need to ask for permissions from those brands. Are there any restrictions or legal issues in this business line that I should take into consideration before starting out? I locate in Finland and I plan on buying wholesale from UK or some other EU countries.

If you ensure that you are buying from an authorised supplier, then no issues at all. If you are unsure the distributor is an authorised supplier, then you can confirm by asking them for proof of authenticity documentation on the products you want to sell.
