They're a publicly-traded company with multi-billion dollar annual sales -- I think you'll be pretty safe with them, but of course they also have a retail front end at NewEgg.com The business-oriented site does sell a few items that are not on the retail site, such as unlocked iPhone 6 phones, and other premium items -- but the prices are not that great, and quantity discounts are only available on select items.
So, your safety in dealing with them is pretty much absolute, as much as you get with any other major operation. But the value in dealing with them is largely going to be in having access to the hot items, some at a discount off of what you'd pay elsewhere, but not many.
