How do I start selling internationally?

I have experience of selling online on Russian market. Now want to sell worldwide.

So my question is about suitable business model for starting business worldwide.

What could you advice about starting? Dropshipping? Selling on eBay? Amazon?

As I see from my little research good ecommerce projects are made in USA with USA supplyers.

I have sole proprietorship and TAX ID in Russia and I have PayPal Russian merchant account.

Do you know anybody who has solved this issue? What are the best steps to start?

Hi Dimitry and welcome to the forum,

I think the first step is to set up your own website. That won't in itself bring any success, but it gives you a platform that you can start marketing through traffic you are generating through all of your other efforts, eBay, Amazon or wherever. Most people start with an eBay or an Amazon without having their own platform to market, but that wastes potential marketing opportunities up front.

I think the goal from the very start should be aiming to develop your own site and so you need to be making the most of your marketing opportunities from day one.

But what would be your advice about market? I mean not the niche, but where to sell? In USA / Europe or Worldwide?

And I can't understand what kind of dropshippers should I find and whom to sell (I mean the criteria of geography).

Again, I live in Russia.
