here we go..Problems begin

The buyer bombarding me with a abusive messages, calling me a liar, already wrote a complaint to ebay and PayPal..

I dropship my items from India. He is complaining that I am misleading buyers that items are coming from UK.

On my Ebay listings, it says that item location is UK.

But I cannot change it even if I wanted to.. When I list the item, The UK location comes up automatically , because my address is in UK....

He open a claim in Pay Pal for refund. But in meantime he is asking me for immediately refund " before he goes further".

He has over 2000 positive feedback on Ebay. Almost all of it is private and most of it some from the same seller or buyer.

Sometimes 5-6 feedback in one day from the same place. He has 0 product on sale, but the latest feedback are a few days ago...

What shall I do ?

Hi Marite,

You're in a no win situation, despite the suspect buyer's feedback. eBay regulations clearly state that the location listed must be the location of the item itself if different to that of the seller. It's a pretty common mistake for new sellers to make. When listing an item, you can actually change the location manually to reflect the actual location of the item.

If you are selling items from multiple locations, then each item must display the actual location as well.

Has the buyer actually received the item?

I am assuming they have, being how they now know where the item is from. No choice if they have the item and don't want it. In that case I would suggest refunding straight away without delay and having the item returned to you personally where you will be able to relist from your location. If they've found out some other way and they don't yet have it, I would suggest maybe trying to convince them to actually wait until the item arrives and then if they are not happy, you will gladly return their money.

Lots of buyers freak out when they find what they have ordered isn't quite what they thought they were buying before it even arrives, even down to an item being purchased from a different location to where they thought. So if they don't yet have the bag, I would apologize for my over-site, then reassure them that the product is of high quality and try to convince them to at least wait until they receive the item, at which point you will refund upon request if they still wish for that.

Do not under circumstances let it go to a dispute, it's one you can't win.

Did he threaten you with negative feedback. If so, I believe that automaticlly cause's ebay to decide in your favor.

He is probably a dropshipper himself and was using you for a supplier and got upset when he seen that the item was coming from India. Otherwise if he's getting the item he wants at the price he wanted to pay, then who cares were it is coming from.

There is something very weird about this buyer.

He already left me a negative feedback on a first day, as soon as he got the tracking number and realise that the items are from India.

And from then he started to threaten me with every possible actions. He put the claim on Pay Pal, that the item is not as described, on

Ebay, complaint about misleading buyers.

The weirdest thing is that he knows everything about those leather items I sell...

All about custom charges, custom declarations, leather item sending laws into the UK... etc...

He called me all the names under the sun, that he will track me down...

In the end he said, that he will keep the bag, but I have to pay him £ 17.00 custom duty, that he has to pay DHL upon delivery... ???

Of course I paid him that straight away...

I just don't understand what's wrong with him...

I cannot track him down...

For a start his Ebay ID is very strange... "slobadobabob"...?? I tried to find him but there 0 items for a sale in his shop...

He is selling and buying all the time, even yesterday he sold something and got a feedback.

His account is private, his feedback is 2404 positive and he is buying and selling some old war cars and figurines

I even know his name and email... Robert Fage...

I just can't find him on Ebay UK Like a Ghost... .. Weird...

I think you might be chasing shadows on this one. The only thing of any relevance is that they had a genuine claim about the product being misleading because the location was incorrect. Anything else doesn't really matter, even if they are a competitor or whatever trying to cause you damage, the point is that they had a genuine reason to request a refund.

It sounds like you've managed to sort it out to everyone's satisfaction, so that's the main thing. In regards to the negative feedback, you can request that the buyer amends that once the satisfactory resolution is complete.
