Beginner drop-shipping

Hi all, so I'm new here and eager to get started buying and selling for a website I recently created. I've heard drop shipping is a good way to begin when your short on cash. I've also been hearing that your have to contact the companies to begin doing so. Is this true? I'm just sort of confused as to the procedure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Orry and welcome to the forum

Dropshipping is certainly a low to no cash outlay way of starting, however it has its pros and cons, just like any supply source. Regardless of what supply resource you choose, you will have to contact the supplier to establish an account with them.

Hi Orry,

If you feel more comfortable contacting suppliers by email at first, you can certainly do that. Keep in mind it's almost always better to contact them by phone if possible. But, there have been many companies that I started initial contact by email and that worked out just fine :)
