I am new to Salehoo and I would like to see what everyone believes to be some of the best wholesale sources on here. I am looking to resell.

I think the main problem is that you are recommending retailers. We are looking for wholesalers. I checked all of the sites you listed and most of the products (can't say all since I did not check them all) sell for the retail price or ABOVE the retail price. How does that help?

This is my main complaint with Salehoo. I am looking for consumer electronics. I did a search for a number of items and Radio Shack came up. I assumed this would be some type of liquidation page for Radio Shack, but no, it was just the main Radio Shack Web site.

You need remove all non-wholesalers from the database. That is any company that does not require customers to show a valid resale certificate. I know that this will leave your database with very few entries, but at least they will all be quality entries.

Ditto to what Ramprof said above. I have been in the optical industry and worked at many trade shows. Unless the company asks for resellers lisc. they are either retail or a middle man.

You need to be aware some people are looking for middlemen as they don't have or don't wish to get a resellers license.

For their own reasons they may want to only buy small lots or buy one/two items for personal use. This is why they are left in there but we are looking to seperate them into a different section so thanks for your input :)

How do you get a resellers license??

Best thing to do is to Google it. Each state has its own requirements. You doo need to have a business Employer Identification Number. This is free from IRS.Gov and is actually a very simple process. I created a Sole Propietership and got a bank account. The resellers License ranges from about $20-$50 a year depending on the state you are in. A VERY small price to pay considering the discounts it gets you. You only need 1 License from the state you have your permanent address in. You do not need a License in each state that you purchase from. EX: I am in Arizona, but can go to a wholesaler in California and purchase wholesale from them. Wholesalers require your License number for their Tax purpouses since they do not collect Tax from you.

This may seem like a lot of work however this is actually a rather simple process. :-)

Ive personally delt with them and almost every Item they sell is beyond overpriced. I have thier 400 pound product catalogue sitting in my bookshelf right now and not 1 item they have is at wholesale prices. Even ordering in mass quantity gets you no savings.

Dont get me wrong you do have a few good links. But the majority of them lead you nowhere fast. And you quote on your sales pitch for membership getting items like xbox 360 console dirt cheap and giving someone the idea they can get just 1 of them. Well yeah the links lead you to get 1 at a fair price but 50-100 over the average selling prices on ebay. But after the listing fee, ended value fee and paypal fees the new guy just lost 100-200 bucks on the item. To get a real deal on an item such as a xbox 360 they have to invest $35,000 bucks to get them at a profit making price. Its the same with Ipod and others.

i am in Australia trying to start up an Ebay store and seriously you have not been of any help. most of the websites that appear seem to be the retailers we have here. i was particulary looking for DVD and CDS and most of the ones i have come across do not send internationally or have applied for wholesale with no response

My Advise is to start small and work your way up. Goto ebay and search for an item line you might be interested in selling. Lets say you want to sell kids clothes or pocket knives.. Goto the buy tab and search for your item. Like a search for Kids Clothes and add the word Lots Or wholesale Lots. to the end of your search text. Research the links that come up next. Pick and choose the one your confident you can resell then buy it.

Everyone seems to be intamate on finding wholesale suppliers to get products that you can resell on ebay but it seems that nobody understands that the best wholesellers are selling thier huge lots on EBAY.

You biggest and best wholesale source IS EBAY!!!!!

On the front page where I signed up today it had a PSP advertised at 156 per unit and V3i Dolce Gabanna edition listed at 325 per unit or something like that. Thats why I paid, I know those go for more and the money back guarantee got me paying too. Where are these sources that sell new PSP at 156?

EDIT: Im imagining the price quote on the D&G V3i is refurb as well?

There are several members here in the forums that can guide you to great wholesale deals and links. And most of the links are at wholesale prices but you need to understand something. EBAY is a wholesellers Marketplace. The same Wholesellers on the Net that your looking for sell thier stuff on ebay too. You wanted wholesale links you came to the right place. Salehoo has tons of Wholesale links.

If your trying to sell on ebay you need to find deals that are well below wholesale to compete against the big boys. Or find a niche market that you can sell without mass competition like selling anything related to rubber ducks (BTW thats Already Been Done). And you can hold that market on Ebay.

You can make money selling the big stuff but its a market thats heavily saturated with sellers so your gonna have to do your homework to find a great supplier.

I do think that most people need to look outside the box. Most people are looking for brand name items that are hot sellers at the moment. People do buy the hot products but they also buy other items. Sometimes people get stuck chasing the hottest items around. There are a lot of areas on ebay that need more suppliers. They are often forgoteen and people dont eneter into those areas much. These areas can grant good returns and suuppliers are hurting for new vendors. They will often work with you just to hep keep there factory going.
