After receiving some goods from DHgate.com that I was not happy with, I asked for a refund. After a lengthy process, they eventually offered me a 55% refund, which was the maximum that they said they could offer.
I thought I would tell you guys, as lots of people trade with DHgate, and I didn't think this was a particularly successful story.
Throughout the negotiations, I had lots of 'if you do not reply within two days, we will assume you have settled the dispute.'
This does not give you a huge amount of time, especially if your internet is down for a couple of days.
I just got confirmation that they would refund today, so will let you know when they actually deposit the money.
I was a little angry to know that I was never going to get all the money back, but I suppose some is better than none.
Just a warning to people to be careful when trading with them, as even their assurances aren't quite so assured.
Cheers,
Tom
