Hi,

I am using Salehoo Research Lab for a while. It seems quite powerful and handy. (Thanks Salehoo!:) )

But, could anyone kindly explain me the difference between "Median End Price", "Average Price" and "Average Buy it now"?

For example, I searched "Pillow" and I had the following results:

Median End Price ---> $23.45

Average Price ---> $34.00

Average Buy it now ----> $273.00

How can I justify significant differences between these figures?

Hello Islandbreeze,

The median end price is for all listings of a certain product which can include bulk listings that sell two or more units of that particular brand/product in a single listing. The median end price can also be affected by listings that are using similar keywords for closely related products. So oftnetimes this is ambiguous.

Whereas the Average price and Average Buy It Now price is data collected in real-time from 500 eBay listings that are about to end.

So, the only reason I can find for the big difference between "Average Price" and "Average Buy It Now" may be that the share of wholesale lots that sell as "Buy It Now" are quite high. So, "Average Buy It Now" has risen to about $270. Am I right?

Another question,, Is there any way I can find out the average price of just 1 item? (not wholesale lots included)

This may be the case but this could also be bug, seeing as how big the difference is and checking some of the featured listings under Listings Ending Soon, I saw nothing that would outright support the amount given for average Buy It Now price.

Sorry at this point you can't. Our lab uses keywords, so if a particular listing has the keyword you keyed in your search them that listing will be included in the data collected.
