Marine electronics - Dropshipper needed

I am new here, but have established a good feedback score on eBay (mostly through buying. I also have a satellite phone website (very new): www.offshorecommunications.net (I see I am not supposed to wholesale products here; I am not, I sell retail. I am including this link sopeople can see what and how I am marketing. Any and all suggestions and comments are welcome! And, of course, remove the link if I have mis-posted it here)

I am looking to add marine electronics to my website, and to sell marine electronics on eBay. Refurbished units welcome. Reliability and product stocking availability key.

I am also looking for a supplier of surplus unused or new old stock Qualcomm GSP 1600 phones and docking station kits for my website.

I am not familiar with marine electronics but I wanted to tell you that I like your website.

I know a lot of people like to have a 'slick' looking website but I think what you have done is great.

It is very personal; you actually USE what you are selling; the site gets to the point without having to wade through a bunch of non essential stuff.

I believe the people who are looking for what you are selling will be drawn to the simplicity of the site and it is all done in a way that, at least to me, promotes trust.

I'm sure there will be some others weighing in shortly on what you can do to improve your site.

Do you have a 'returns' policy or did I miss that on the website?

Thanks for the nice words! The website is in it's third day of existence, and I just started selling the phones two weeks ago. Everyone has been very happy, not a single complaint. So I have yet to think one up and post it?

I think that I can guarantee that the phones are in perfect working order and are exactly what I say they are: unused surplus phones in new condition in brand new high end Pelican cases.

Now that I think of it, it seems your mentioning was a suggestion that I have one........?:) Any suggestions, bearing in mind what I have said? Thanks for your reply!!

Hi Steve,

Glad to be of help as always! I agree with Ron, your website is really simple and easy to go through.

Other than adding a return policy, you might consider adding a FAQ's page, where you can address the simple yet usual queries of most online customers - Like, do you ship internationally? or what is your warranty?

I do like reading through the write ups as it gives me the feeling that it was written by a real person and not some generic editable website content.

I have applied to two of the dropshippers/wholesalers that you recommended. One of them, Wholesale Marine, I already have a good business relationship with (I buy the yellow Pelican Cases from Gary).

I just (about five minutes ago) posted a warranty and returns page on my site. I gave it a lot of thought and talked it over with someone that also markets them for me.

One thing: my site is three days old yet has 300+ hits (!) but no sales!! I hope the warranty helps......but I wonder if there is anything else you notice that may be affecting the sales numbers (or lack thereof).

I really appreciate the time and effort you and others are taking to help make my new venture a success! :)

Yes, i did notice you have been getting a relatively good number of hits considering your site is new :)

Conversion rates seems to be a fairly common issue for many online sellers these days. Some time last week we had a member also asking about sales conversion rates...
