dps103 Hi, I am an Ebay powerseller looking for a better selling experience. I've made no secret in previous posts of how I feel about Ebay's polcies toward their sellers (major thumbs down). Can anyone tell me about their selling experiences on Amazon? I am particularly interested in clothing sales. I would love to have any info to help me make a decision in making the investment & the switch to Amazon. Thanks.
richelle_salehoo1 Hi dps103, Sorry but I have not tried selling on Amazon at all, so it would be hard to give you a direct answer, but I did find this link with a similar question to yours - Link hidden: Login to view Hope this helps, all the best!
dps103 Thanks, Richelle. I still can't find stats on clothing sales for Amazon. Do you know if Amazon has a section that shows completed listings or gives popularity for clothing sales?
richelle_salehoo1 Hi dps103, I tried searching online and like you I found none as well because unlike eBay, Amazon does not have a 'completed listings' info/feature. But I think you'll find this post on thewholesaleforums.co.uk useful - The only tool really is to look at the sales rank in the product details. It will tell you 'Sales Rank **** in dvds' for example - basically the higher it is, the faster it sells - with DVD's, for example, anything in the top 1,000 sells fast, anything in the top 100 flies of the shelves faster than you can blink, and if it's, say, ranked 15,000 you might sell one a week. However, it doesn't cost you anything to list, other than subscriptions fees, you just pay your percentage once the item actually sells. All the best :)
