like anything else it has both it's pros and cons...
pros:
1. amazon's network. your product will be well represented all over the Internet because of the very far reaching network...great stuff for the seller.
2. this is a two edge sword here...their customer service...the good thing is that they'll call you uP right now if you want them to...the bad...not all of the reps know what they're talking about.
3. the listing options/descriptions for your products are pretty extensive...which allows you to be able to out rank your competition on the search engines.
4. a wide range of service & support info...if you can either find it...or dig it outta one of their knucklehead customer service reps...although beware of charges...they try their best to keep their hand in your wallet...
cons:
1. they're expensive! they want a monthly byte as well as a byte(%) outta each sale you make on their site.
2. they only pay every 14 daze...and if your forget to download your monthly statement...come tax time...you've got additional issues to get your sales/income/expenses from them later.
3. you must confirm every sale via their user interface or you don't get paid for that sale.
4. you have no meaningful recourse to any dispute that may come uP as amazon is law...end of story.
5. you don't own your customers...to a point...you have to be a little slick to get your customers email or phone number...
good luck with your amazon business...
