The Salehoo site staff and members really have a wealth of information; I appreciate your inputs by the way.
The woman Holly from Paypal said, the minute they see you buying video games, the watch you, the minute you do the first refund or claim, they close you. They not risk it obviously. Being new, having some of the video games myself, I followed the advice of; sell what you know first, well, I got into deep trouble didn’t I, I lost my Paypal account, I lost $4 856 in one go and only afterwards realised the formula of calculation on Ebay (Cost of product, shipping costs properly calculated, Ebay listing costs, Paypal/Merchant costs then lastly, desired profit)
They have closed it and will refund me in 180 days, and then I will try again, if I do not come right, I will open a Paypal on my wife’s name and carry on trading, although, history has taught me:
1. NO WESTERN UNION these are usually scammers and no refund can take place
2. Do not trust a company who even sends you their registration papers because this can be bought on the internet or falsified.
3. Get Skype credit and call them and hear how they answer the phone etc and determine whether they exist.
4. One other tactic I found is Alipay and Moneybookers have Escrow, you pay, they send and when you receive the goods they release the money, if you do not receive, you don’t lose, the minute you suggest this form of payment, scammers back away.
5. Ask for a commercial invoice with telephone numbers (Call on Skype), physical address (Google maps) and try and find them and ask them questions about the surroundings which you can clearly see, if they sound clueless, that is not the address
6. Ask for samples as they often have a MOQ (Minimum ordering quantity) of 100 or 1 000, this is a big order for a drop ship type client and plenty of money to lose, if they don’t do samples, they scammers
7. Be careful, Wii, Xbox and Playstation are not original in china or Hong Kong, they are third party goods or OEM items, so when you list, list it as goods for or compatible with the Xbox, never say Xbox good as you will end up refunding as it is “fake†and not the real thing. It is not a replica or a fake; it is a third party product not the original.
I needless to say have changed or still looking for a new niche, this one is too scary
