Help with perfume importing and custom

Hello,

I'm new to wholesale so I plan to start dropshipping perfumes.

I've been looking for a perfume suplier and in most websites they are not very specific when they say they are no responsible for custom duties.

I'm planning to sell mainly in Spain. Anybody knows if I'll have to pay duties in custom? How could I found out the amount of it? Are perfume subject to any specific o special law?

Any help is apreciated.

Your buyer in Spain will be responsible for paying any customs duties/taxes, or doing any customs clearances that may be required.

Its always the best to check with your customer first before posting any products.

When it comes to customs it can get a bit tricky. The seller can estimate custom charges and ship the product. If your local country checks the product and detrmines more fees are owed than you will be responisble for paying the extra fees. A customs broker can help you handle the transaction when this occurs. It mainly happens on large shipments where the exact goods are declared for insurance reasons.

When you send a product overseas, you will be required to make a formal customs declaration where you describe the goods, and state the value of the product.

In most European countries the receiver will have to pay some tax if the value of the goods is over $20-$30.
