How to sell on Craigslist?

How can I sell on Craigslist? When I tried to open an account to sell my items, it says need verification phone. Don't have one. I live in Australia. Don't have a US phone number. I lived in the US 2 years ago. How can I bypass phone number verification and sell on Craigslist. I would do drop shipping and accept credit cards from customers.

I don't think you need a US phone number if you register on Craigslist Australia Link hidden: Login to view

The default city is Sydney but you can easily change your city by choosing from the list of cities under Australia. You'll find thi on the upper right side of your screen.

Hi raraz,

Craigslist's phone verification system is required if you are going to post an ad under SERVICES section. And to bypass this you can post it in other sections - maybe 'For Sale', under the specific product category.

I am not so keen on using Craigslist as a selling platform. There is no forced accountability on both parties. Buyers can back out of the transaction and since the site does not provide identifying information, it will be difficult not wasting your time on bogus buyers.

I may be wrong, though. :) Kindly share with us how you got on.
