Can you buy from eBay.co.uk if you don't have PayPal?

Hello to Everyone,

My friend in Dubai wants to buy a wedding dress listed on ebay.co.uk.

He does not have a paypal account or a credit card and is buying on ebay first time.

Paypal is the only listed option to buy.

How can he buy this dress? Would really appreciate any advice. He needs the dress for a June wedding.

Does he have to sign up with paypal? Can he do this without a credit card.

If PayPal is the only listed options, then your friend will have to comply for her to buy the dress. Unless of course the buyer (by some stroke of luck) will agree to a different arrangement.

Your friend doesn't need a credit card, he can his bank account instead to open a PayPal account.

I agree with Richelle, that if the seller listed Paypal as the only option for payment, then that would be the only way to buy from that sellerâ€™s listing. The main reason for sellers to prefer Paypal is basically protection for both parties (buyers and sellers) against theft of financial data or fraud. Link hidden: Login to view

Paypal is available in Dubai, see the options in this link and you will find among the dropdown country listing, United Arab Emirates. Link hidden: Login to view

However, for United Arab Emirates, Paypal funds can only be sent using Mastercard, Visa and American Express.

Without a credit card / Paypal, other options in buying a wedding dress from ebay.co.uk would be to search for sellers that accept personal cheque, postal order or bankerâ€™s draft.
