Hi Everyone,
my name is Ben, I’m a kiwi living in NZ. I’ve been a member of Salehoo for a few months now and used a couple of leads (ie sellerkey and chinavision) just small quantities to test the market and the supplier (my advice “don’t go thereâ€) there are good gains but hey the demand has to be there before you can make any serious gains, it’s no good having a 300-400% margin if you only sell one product every other month. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out. I’ve even bought iPods from a reseller in the States to sell/test via Tardme (irreverent take on Trademe burglars) a kiwi auction site, there is always someone who will sell cheaper than you that’s just the way it works I suppose. Same thing for importing used cars from Japan, doesn’t help much when every man and his dog are doing it plus the used car import laws are a changing for us kiwis come January 2008.
I’ve been looking for something to sell for my Storesonline website (not yet launched) I purchased almost 4 years ago, hell I’ve got wholesaler lists coming out of my ears, you’ll be amazed with the amount of useless information I’ve got not to mention the amount of time I’ve wasted tracking things down (but I guess it’s not really wasted I’ve learnt a hell of a lot along the way)
robby01nut made the comment in a thread, “I don’t want to just sell something cause its cool, I want to make money!†he’s definitely on to it there, my sentiments exactly. Where am I heading with this? Well I am currently in the throes (just a matter of dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s now) of securing AU/NZ distribution rights for a great innovative product I believe has real potential. I want to hear from serious â€alliancesâ€/individuals both in NZ and Aussie wanting to make a tidy return. The cost of my product per unit is $30AU landed in your State’s main port the product retails for around $100AU. However there must be enough interested parties to secure a 20ft container load which holds 960 units, this must be paid for up front. Keep in mind marketing and promotion (crucial) and service issues (returns, questions, etc.) must be accounted for, you or your group must also take care of storage and internal distribution once the product has landed as well as being required to satisfy your local tax laws(GST).
Depending on the response this opportunity will be offered exclusively to Salehoo members. There are two reasons for this, firstly I don’t really want the big retail chains to get richer (they don’t share their suppliers with the likes of us) and secondly I believe the people on this forum are motivated enough to drive and protect there own investments aggressively.
Do the math, the product is priced right, the competition is restricted to a particular user group (Salehoo members) and in my opinion the quality product is new, innovative and there is a demand.
This is a genuine opportunity, the EU distributor sells the units for 45 pounds retail, go figure. Hopefully I’ve told you enough to whet your curiosity, what I need now are expressions of interest. I wont answer immediately, I will read all requests for info and send out a group response by reply email. My preference is that you email (see my profile).
Cheers
