So I've been in and out of the wholesale scene for a while and I'm glad to be here at Salehoo. Everything here is great and I've found all kinds of things that I couldn't find elsewhere. But there is one thing I needed to share with everyone here.
So a few weeks back I ordered some Ipod Nano's on DHGate.com, mostly for some friends and family just to throw it out there that I will be getting electronics from time to time if they want to buy them. I orderd 5 total, just a small order to verify that everything was legit coming from China. When the package arrived I opened one unit, plugged it in and tested to make sure it worked and everything was fine. I should have done that for all the units.
Needless to say, 1 unit had a faulty output jack (only the left channel will play music), 1 unit powers on, but freezes after that, and another unit was scratched from head to toe. Now I bought these under the assumption that they were new, and being that is was already several weeks after the purchase was made when I found these things out the seller wasn't really supportive in making an exchange or giving back any credit (he said I should have checked all units to make sure they all worked within a few days, not weeks).
So it's not that big of a deal, the unit with the faulty output jack is going back to Apple for it's one year warrenty and when my cousin brings me the frozen unit I'll see if it just needs to be rebooted before sending it back to Apple. As for the scratched unit, well I'll just keep if for myself and put a skin over it, problem solved.
I just wanted to share this to let people know that no matter what size of order you make, be sure to check each item for power and fuctionality as soon as you get them (something I usually do, but will now do everytime) especially if you plan on selling them online or at a store.
