Best Sites To Sell On

Hi, I'm totally 100% fed up with eBay. They have the absolute worst customer service department in the world. I sold an item to a customer, shipped it, they got it, and I never got a payment from them. eBay didn't do anything about it. I had to wait over 2 weeks to get a response about an issue I was having. They've suspended my account for a year or more because they have no clue what they're talking about. They charge a lot to sell items. I just can't express myself about how terrible eBay is. So, I hoping that someone could give me some good websites that still have a lot of traffic and have lower / no listing fees n such. I found these sites in another post, but there wasn't really any info. on them. I too am fed up with eBay! They protect their Buyers but offer little to no assistance to we sellers, where they make their money! I listed AUTHENTIC Coach purses and they removed three of them saying they were fakes. Not true but they would not even allow me the courtessy of proving their authenticity. All I received from them via emails were stock responses, referring me to their policies. Their customer service is horrible. I am now looking for other sites and will try some of those listed here.

eBay is going to fall because of their high costs and horrid cs.

There isn't....Sadly worldwide the other alternatives are millions of members and millions less page views than Ebay. The viable alternatives are not auctions at present as time will need to be taken to get their numbers anywhere near what Ebay has.
You can look at classifieds or craigslist or Amazon.com but best out of these is probably your local classifieds. You are going to have to wait probably 5 years plus before any of the Ebay alternatives get any where near the traffic needed to take on Ebay (The Dark Side of the Force). Pain in the butt...Trust me we ALL know.

I loathe the way everyone is talking about eBay as if it has no beginning...For all I know eBay may be digging their own grave without knowing it...internet is vast and believe me there are some think tank out there racking their brains how they will up stage eBay...GREED is getting the best of eBay whether you like it or not...they also own paypal. Now there are other alternatives to paypal. Go to many forums and see how people are talking down eBay...you may be surprise that eBay may become a shadow of itself in 6-8 years from now with this repulsive attitude of their's I dare prophesy.

im starting to do a fair amount of business on Amazon.com. it is a straight up fee to sell, they dont penny you to death after the sale and free to list and maintain your stock as long as you want too.

are you able to sell at higher prices on amazon than ebay? even a few extra $ would make it a lot easier to turn a profit

I've heard some say you can, but I'm a skeptic. Most Amazon shoppers will also be looking on other sites for the best deal, and that includes ebay. That's what the net is all about, shopping convenience, why wouldn't you be looking around for the best deal when buying.....I know I do!

I registered with Bonanzle about 3-4 days ago and clicked on the import eBat auctions....but I can't seem to get my eBay auctions imported to Bonanzle. Has anyone else had this problem? I am still waiting to hear from their IT department.

It's unusual for their customer support to be lax, they are usually quite sharp at Bonanzle I've always found.

Regarding the issue, sounds to me like this is one for their tech department to sort out so it's just going to be a waiting game. Just make sure that you keep on them if you aren'thearing anything back, don't just let them file it under snooze!

I was wondering if anyone has had much luck selling more on craigslist over ebay?? Also if you do sell something on craigslist what are the safe ways of handing the product over to the customer, without giving them your address? I always wondered what was the best location to do the exchange.

Hi Don,

as a long time seller on craigslist, i can say ive never had any problems with

people picking up the items they bought from me at my home. of course thats a personal choice, i ghuess the fact that i have a 120 lb pitt bull who is regulary streched out on my driveway makes me feel a little easier lol.

But in all reailty, i would caution you about meeting people , always take another person with you if possible and only meet a large public places. that has alot of traffic.

lol yeah that sure beats my 109lb yellow Lab! yeah I was just curious because I never really sold anything off Craigslist but with ebay's fees lately I wanted to kinda strike a balance between ebay and craigslist to test some other products I have.

You will love the ease of craigslist, no paypal no ebay hassels!

and most of the folks you deal with are supper nice!

of course their is ocasionall problem child. but all in all its

beats the hell out of ebay!!! they also have the highest traffic

of all the local listing sites.

I am so fed up with ebay as well. I listed a couple pairs of UGG's on there and they removed them because they said they thought they were fake. I bought these from the origional UGG store and used my own pictures from home. When I questioned where they got their information- they said they have individuals report the information. For all I know it could be someone else on ebay trying to get my listing removed so that they can sell theirs.

EBAY IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!

Hi aobrie02,

Welcome to SaleHoo! What happened to you is so unfortunate, but fairly common especially for branded products. You may have been rported by a VeRo.

This is the consequence honest sellers suffer because of sellers who are selling imitation products. You to be extremely careful when listing any brand name products on eBay, the VeRo's will scout your listing out like vultures.

If you re-list it now, you have the risk of having it removed again so might as well try listing it on another site :)
