How Often is the SaleHoo Supplier Directory Updated?

Hello all,

I'm just curious as to how often this site is updated with wholesalers, dropshippers, etc. I've been a member for quite a while, but still see the same listings.

It was supposed to be updated late last year or early this year from memory, but I have no idea if it has actually taken place yet or not.

We add new suppliers to SaleHoo daily, but they tend to be at the bottom of the search listings until they get some user reviews.

Just a thought, but wouldn't it be better to modify the database so the newer listing would feature at the top of the search results so they were easy for members to find?

Or even create a new directory that features the latest additions to the database, perhaps leave them in there for a calendar month to give members ample time to view. Then automate the system to delete their new addition status after the set period, sending them to the regular suppliers directory and keeping the new supplier directory current.

Maybe even include the new monthly listings in the newsletter for the attention of members.

Just some thoughts!

New Suppliers are not added daily here, thats the biggest lie I have ever heard!

Fudjj, You have the right idea. I know alot of other sites such as this have a seperate directory for the newest additions. I think this should be implemented.

why not make a forum post which is locked with the updated companies for that month.As for rating them a person can just make a new topic and say what they liked or disliked about the conmpany.

then after 1 year or 6 months they get put into their category and it starts over.

thats a quick fix,and a quick glance at new companies.

Another good idea beacause I have tried to contact some of these companies with a good rating & they are not even in business anymore. We need to be kept in the loop.

It is almost impossible for Salehoo to check with every single company they list each month to see if they are still in business. If you find a business that has closed then I would suggest contacting Salehoo and let them know. This is the only way they will find out.
