Are most high-end brands sold on DHgate only replicas?

I'm new here and would like to thank everyone for this great forum.

I've read here that you can find the right kind of products for reselling on DHgate if you do some research. I was looking at some Tiffany rings and saw they were selling for a high markup on eBay. I sent a message to the supplier and he said they were replicas and you can only buy real Tiffany & Co from T&C.

Does this mean the listings on eBay are replicas and would not the replicas get stopped by customs?

I was also looking at some name brand clothing on DHgate but I'm beginning to wonder if anything on DHgate is authentic.

I would appreciate any advice on this.

Welcome to the site Rick. After you do some reading on these forums, you'll probably come to the same conclusion as others - that 99% of the items on DHgate are not authentic. You do take the risk of having your shipment seized by Customs if they are presented as authentic. I think DHgate is a good source for some items but not for anything that is sold under a brand name unless the seller is able to offer some sort of release documentation from the brand owner.

Also do some reading on the DHgate escrow service. In spirit, it would allow you to recover your funds if you had a shipment lost at sea or even confiscated by Customs, but in practice I don't know what would happen.

I've also seen the exact same men's clothing from DHgate selling on ebay as authentic. I wonder if ebayers know the difference.

i can attest to the fact that you can only get tiffany from the manufactuere. TIFFANY they will and donot sell the others, same as coach handbags, if you buy one unless it is used, 9 times out of 10 it fake.... put your money on it.

hi there.i also contacted a supplier from d h gate about the tiffany rings,earrings etc and he confirmed they are not genuine,agree they sell very good on e bay but if youve checked the completed listings for the tiffany earrings youll notice some of the sellars are'no longer registered with e bay'think that tells you something.e bay are really cracking down now on sellars not selling originals .i think that the worst hing to do would be to sell several tiffany products at once that way e bay would have good idea your selling replicas as i noticed that one or 2 sellars who were suspended had lots of items for sale!

im now having second thoughts about d h gate,think best thing to do is buy from supplier who has several different items so you dont have all the same thing on your website/auction site.

I'll be honest and tell you I used to sell replica clothing on ebay. The products were amazing quality! I actually kept a lot for myself. I never got caught by customs but you still need to watch out.

Would anyone know if the ralph lauren and lacoste polos are authentic on dhgate?

I highly doubt they are. They sell them for way to cheap and i myself was looking at clothing on dhgate and i spent almsot 5 hours (i was up till 6 in the morning) trying to figure out if they were authentic but if you go through and look at the A&F shirts there its extremely hard to find a style on dhgate that is also on the official A&F website. No doubt that they are some of the highest quality replicas around but still replicas. the only clothing and apparel item i saw on dhgate that convinced me was timberland boots, but even still im sure they are fake
