At of all the online payment services, which service is the best one to use to pay a company/person you don't know anything about for goods?

Hey there, Watch out for online payment options. Good choice to put this up as a question. Sorry I cant help you out but I would recomend calling up the online companies, Talk to a real person (as apose to a answer machine), Send emails, and letters to company premises and check other sites to see if they are real or scammers, If they do what they say etc. Hope you do well for yourself!

Letter of credit is an agrrement between your bank and theres. You will talk to your bank about the deal. The bank will send there bank a letter of credit saying that once the shipper has fufilled the terms of the agreement payment will be made. The shipper will have to prove to there bank that the product has shipped. Than there bank will send your bank the information. When your bank feels that the transaction is complete than they will pay the funds. Thats is basically it in a nut shell.

So if I buy something from someone overseas and they ship me something and it is not what was agreed on or does not match what was ordered, does my bank still pay their bank?
