I am currently opening a new online store and I need a merchant account. Is it common for the company to require me to have two separate accounts when I am selling a variety of products? QuickBooks Merchant account is telling me that if I want to sell electronics, I will need a totally separate merchant account that I will have to apply for separately. Does everyone require this or is this just their rule? The other products I am selling are Home Decor and Women's Handbags. I would appreciate anyone who could shed a light on this....I am puzzled.
