This has been a challenging week to say the least. First, I get suspended by eBay for trademark. Of course. And than PayPal piles on.
I ordered some items through an on-line warehouse. The items were claimed as authentic. When I received the items 2 of the 3 were damaged beyond repair and......you guessed it. They were bad imitations. SO.....being of the thought 'PAYPAL' helped to protect the buyer I filed a dispute. The dispute wasn't resolved with the seller's idiocy of what he called a partial refund. I escalated it to a claim. Guess what? Yes, they denied it. why? Here's what they said:
Our investigation into your claim is complete. As stated in our User
Agreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It
does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods
received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a
refund.
LOL!! are you kidding me? Where is the buyer protection? So looking at this I have come to 2 conclusions about avoiding PayPal charge backs.
1) Sell junk. PayPal could give a rats ass what you get as long as you send something.
2) If PayPal's policy is 'It does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods received. ' Than why do they offer a category of 'Goods not as described' in their dispute choices?
