What is a shop ID link and why some suppliers ask for it

I have been trying to register with dropshippers and wholesalers but they are asking for my shop ID link, is it compulsory you must have a shop before you can get suppliers?

Hi Alex,

It's not something I've ever heard before or at least not for dropshipping. Wholesale suppliers will quite often want evidence that you are a genuine business entity. So can you confirm that both types of suppliers are wanting you to confirm an online link?

Yes i can confirm that's what they are asking me if you want the company name i can give it to you in short one of them is banggood.

Hi Alex,

The "shop ID link" can be in a form, it doesn't need to be your own e-commerce website, it can be as simple as your eBay or Amazon account. If you don't have an Amazon or eBay account, we suggest you get one of those because some suppliers are asking for this now to confirm you are a legitimate reseller and not buying at discounted prices for personal means.
