There is really NO supplier that exists, who has not got a set of bad suppliers or iffy transactions and issues.
So the idea is to put them ALL on a list, like Salehoo has done, and set up a rating system to see how they are performing.
Like someone said earlier this puts suppliers on the spot right here, and all over, to either deliver or step out of the game.
And in many cases, it has in fact worked.
Suppliers many people have had trouble with have shaped up, and started providing accurate service. It offers a proving ground and a much needed source to improve relations OVERALL I would say....
There may be a whole collection of suppliers who are bad at one particular site, and you just don't know until you check them out. Because the other 60% may be completely legitimate, but to begin with the only way you'll know is on a list ranking system.
So I think the list ranking system is the best idea, probably overall and to just keep refining the ranking system.
If you have problems with that/his/her particular supplier, you can then report them and warn people off of that and to go to another one thus forcing them to shape up their policies.
And if not many times they can be banned, until deciding to improve and then it looks like they come back as members.
But the biggest pro is, despite those stipulations, that EVERY single supplier and most of the biggest distributors/suppliers are located on a single list here at Salehoo.
And they are ranked in order, according TO people's experience of them and how many are good and how many are bad, from website to website, so that you can weed out the illegitimate ones the soonest and alert anyone coming into do business.
That could also make a much bigger difference once they implement a cross check list, so you can compare one supplier's vendor service to another......and see how they stack up! :
