I’m newbie. What is new? You heard that million times already. But I don’t get it…how to make money on ebay using “wholesalers” supplier what they call themselves? I went through SALEHOO training material, watched videos offered and on Youtube and consider to ready make that jump in to sales. Here is what going on: I’m researching let say TENS machines ( and it is only one example with many more similar researches) I can see price on “wholesalers” website Link hidden: Login to view from SALEHOO , buy 12 and price is $39.95 per unit , totaling $479.40, plus ( no free delivery offered) standard delivery $27.28. Now it will be total price per unit of $42.23.

I’m looking on ebay and find that similar unit is sells by somebody there already for $47.99 Link hidden: Login to view with FREE shipping.

So I spent $42.23, if unit sells at BUY NOW for$49.99 similarly to competition, after ebay fee ($5) and paypal fee(1.75), I get back $43.24. I made $1.01 but cheapest USPS postage for me will be $11.30. Now I owe$10.29 per unit instead of making it. I’m missing something in money making business?

In same realm Amazon sells that unit for $47.21 plus $7.84 shipping( where that shipping price came from?) Link hidden: Login to view

Hi Val,

Wholesale offers a discount based on volume purchased. Now you are quoting a 12 unit purchase, then comparing that against an eBay price from another seller to come up with you equation. My question is, do you know how many units that eBay seller purchased?

I mean are you measuring this accurately, because that eBay seller may have purchased in a much higher volume to secure a much lower price per unit. So before you try to make sense out of numbers like this, you have to make sure you are measuring everything accurately.

Hi. thank you for an answer. I was looking into drop shipping as it is all over internet about SALEHOO and DOBA.

If I’m competing against distributer, then it is different ball game. There are 8,000 sellers on SALEHOO. Do I have to go one by one and call them to find lowest price they will sell in bulk? Some of them on a dropshippers list but then their prices make no sense to sell on ebay or amazon. And for that matter, isn't it easier to go after manufacturer than distributor, to become distributor myself?
