I've just had a PM from a member who was given a violation on eBay for using non-authorised images, so I thought it might be a timely reminder to other sellers to ensure the images you are using are safe.
This member was given bad advice from eBay support staff on several occasions, which ultimately lead to her violation, of course for those of us who have traded on eBay for some time all know that their advice isn't, shall I say, always quite up to par on certain occasions.
OK, that's being kind, but we learn to live with it if we want to continue to sell in that marketplace!
When it comes to images, you need to ensure you have the permission of the copyright owner to use those images on eBay. Don't think you can snip a bit of the image here and there and all will be sweet, because it may very well not be, and you can quite quickly find yourself facing a violation!
Check your images, make sure you have the permission, and in written form where at all possible. Don't wait for eBay to start asking questions before you try to scramble for proof, by that stage it's probably to late to dodge the violation!
