What does CRC mean?

Little about what I am trying to do :)

I am in search of some name brand (Guess, Nine West, Michael Kors, BCBG etc) women shoes. I am having a hard time finding them especially because I am located in Canada. I also can't spend a whole lot to begin with because I have take customs and brokerage fees into account and my starting capital is very small.

My question

Some manifests of shoes have pallet locations listed and the locations have "CRC" written next to them ( For example Gandy- CRC Tampa Florida is one that comes up a lot). What does CRC mean? At first I thought it meant circle but then I noticed all the locations have CRC written next to them.

I am guessing I am dealing with brokers here since the locations are all over the map instead of a single warehouse. Anyone know what that means?

Been searching close to an hour about the CRC but I could find anything definite to answer your question.

CRC actually stands for many things according to wikipedia

I also found this online listing for a company - Link hidden: Login to view that mentions

It could be that the merchandise come from a warehouse center of some sort.

Thanks for trying Richelle. If you have a liquidator on staff, he/she may know what it means as I am searching in the liquidation industry.

I have been searching online as well and have no idea what it means. I was hoping it would give me more information about where the merchandise is coming from as I am a little weary about working with brokers since they may not have seen the merchandise they are selling and I may end up losing out if the shipment turns out to be a complete waste.

In the meantime, what products are you interested in? We do have a wide selection of liquidators in our directory so instead of using unverified liquidators why not source through our directory of verified suppliers.

Hi Sanu, I'm only guessing, but I would say the term is referring to Customer Return stock perhaps. CRC isn't a term that I know as some industry standard term used across the board.

Sorry, can't be much help at all on this one. Best thing to do is to just ask them, they'll be happy to tell you I'm sure.

I finally figured it out. In case anyone is wondering, It means Contracted Reclamation Center and it can also mean Central Return Center. This is where all the returns or excess inventory goes.

Also Richelle I have been searching through liquidators in the directory here and so far no luck. Usually the trustworthy ones end up having quantity requirements that are too high for me right now. I can only spend around $500 to start. Large number of others are brokers and I am a little weary of working with them as they likely haven't seen the merchandise they are selling me as they get it from contracted reclamation centers and I may get ripped off if I am not careful. I can't afford any mistakes as my capital is very small and I won't be able to try again for a while if i get burned. Some don't return emails/phone calls. Finding a good liquidator for shoes is like looking for a needle in a haystack right now but I will keep trying.

Have you tried Via Trading? They come highly recommended on the forums. And some of their pallets are not as expensive as well.

Yes I have spoken to via trading. There loads are too expensive for me right now. Also most of the shoes are boots or really frumpy looking.Waiting for some summer stuff to show up on their website. I know you can't be too picky with liquidated stuff but since I am just starting, I want a semi profitable load so that I can invest more into it.

It's actually quite understandable and normal to be picky with what you want to buy - this is true for any reseller and especially if you have limited capital to start out with.
