Clean out the supplier directories.
Most of us understand that listing companies that make fakes is servicing a market, but the companies within the directories need to be defined.
It's easy to see that the new member demographic here is very inexperienced, and it's hard enough for them to get a foot hold, without having confusing listings.
They don't understand that these fakes service a specific market, and can quite easily get burnt embarking on a transaction where they think that they are buying genuine items because they find the supplier listed as a wholesaler.
I think it's not only the right thing to do, but is incumbent on Salehoo to make the supplier listings as defined as possible, and this includes brokers.
What on earth are these wholesale/dropshipper listings all about. Wholesale and drop shipping couldn't be more removed from each other if they were at each end of the planet to one another.
It just causes confusion with new members because they then struggle to distinguish between the two.
Wholesale should be for wholesale, and unless they can supply an MOQ at wholesale volume, then they are not wholesalers.
I think there is probably a market for brokers, and a listing for them would be appropriate. We already know that most will be offering the same things, with some price variance, but that would at least make it easy for the member to compare apples to apples, not compare them to Kiwi fruit!
Clean up the directories, and all members should receive a new supplier update via email at least every 3 months so we are all kept up to date with what is available.
No one wants to have tom troll through that current mess over and over again searching for new suppliers.
I would also like to see some company contact information for the most asked about items that members want. Let them contact the company department that can put them in touch with their distribution network.
It will not only give them quick access to the information they are seeking, but they will have no doubts even if the prices are too high for them to participate, no matter what anyone else tells them because they got the information direct from the source.
