I am one of the new members and it does not look as easy as walking in to a Sam's club and finding things in bulk or marked down. I am interested in finding Madden 2009, Norton Products, Xbox360 to sell on Ebay or at Amazon. Perhaps even women's sleepwear.
I have a feeling I maybe at the wrong place. I would like to work from home. I suppose if was easy everyone would be doing it. The searches I have done have not returned any results. One thing I have found no here that supplies may have a Madden a year or two back and want $30 for it. I would like to know where the people will be getting the next Madden for next year or even the 2009 one
Unfortunately online selling is not easy as you point out, but that doesn't mean that if it was everyone would be doing, in fact as hard as it is, everyone is still trying to do it, and that just makes it harder to find your own little successful corner.
Those of us that have been here for a while see this all the time, new members asking where all the good suppliers are to sell on ebay, and why are all the products cheaper on ebay than from the suppliers listed here.
It's simply not realistic to expect to find a supplier that will sell you one item at a price that will allow you to compete on ebay, when the big sellers on ebay are buying in massive stock loads, and are there for getting high volume discounts making it impossible for the small seller to sell.
In most cases wholesalers themselves are using ebay as a market place to distribute their products, and it's not even close to possible to beat those prices because they can sell at a volume wholesale discount direct.
Having said that there are members here that do find things to sell, one member just found a tidy little earning product from a supplier here just the other day, in fact a product that was about $100.00 cheaper than his nearest competition on ebay!
Seriously, if you are looking at ebay as your market place then you need to come with plenty of cash to buy in volume, anything less than that and you really are just one of the other 10 million people around the world looking to break into the market, but probably never will.
Other options include liquidated stock, quite a popular choice these days and might be a good source to chase up for the sleepwear, but even then if you don't buy in enough volume you may struggle for margin.
Seriously, for those wanting to start a business, online selling would be one of the hardest that I have seen to get into successfully.
Can't help with the madden unfortunately.
