Banggood - dropshipping problem

I had someone buy an expensive $430 upair quadcopter and claim they received a used item.

They are currently using the refund process to try and get their money back. I have contacted Banggood numerous times through their email and chat and basically get the same response. They will say in chat 'we got your email', 'salesman be back', 'we hurry up' etc. What happens is that I still have no resolution to my problem.

Biggest issue for me is that I have sold many quads so far and have no choice right now except to hope everything else goes ok. It has not by the way already another person has claimed a damaged package and motor on a $135 quad and asked for a return immediately after getting the package.

Really distressing being blind on both ends of a trade and not being able to even get a reply about *if* they could have shipped a used item so I could at least know *if* I have been lying when I keep telling these people on ebay that I know they were shipped a new and unused item.

FYI: its been weeks now since I was told they would get back to me about *if* the quadcopter they shipped was new. If this goes to court I will have to name banggood as the supplier.

Hi Curtiss and welcome to the forum,

I've passed this issue onto Shane in our support centre and she will follow up with Bangggod support on your behalf. In the meantime, have you asked the buyer for photographic evidence to show the condition. You want to make sure that you're not on the end of a scam with someone trying to swap items and claim a refund on you.

I have pictures! I want to believe they (the buyers of the quad) are scammers and I have let them know I think that without actually calling them scammers but when all this time goes by and I can't get an answer from Banggood about if its possible a used quad was shipped out I begin to wonder. Time is ticking and tomorrow my choices become even more limited when eBay takes a closer look. I have been telling this buyer that they were shipped a new and unused item without really knowing and when eBay steps in, I am not going to tell them the same. They will be told what I know, and that is that I dropped shipped an item through Banggood. This buyer got the item and claimed it was broken and used, I have been defending myself to this alleged scammer by claiming that I know it is new and unused but that I don't really know anything other than I was paid. Then I paid Banggood to have an item drop shipped and I can't get an answer from Banggood about it now that there is a problem. I contacted them first a couple weeks ago when it first occured then this buyer kind of backed off for a week or so even after threatening to get a return through eBay. I thought he 'went away' but now after waiting a week (and a week past his deadline to just give a refund) he is trying the eBay return procedure to get the money back. I would have had no problem doing my best to tell this buyer "No" but I'm filled with doubts now.

I can't speak on behalf of Banggood, but I've never heard of them sending anything second hand and to be honest, I find it inplausable that they would. Shane has now contacted them on your behalf, so it shouldn't take long now to get some idea of what is happening.

Shane has now contacted them on your behalf, so hopefully it shouldn't take long now to get some idea of what is happening, but they are in the middle of their festival at the moment and I know things do slow down quite dramatically during these events in China.

The only reason I thought it was plausible is that sometimes things do get returned and maybe it did not get checked very well. I will upload the pics asap. He claims the first 4 pics are of the 'repaired' part then he shows 2 images of his 'other' quadcopters gimble and camera. The rest are susposeto be of the quad he was sent. I dont know if these image links are going to work or not

If this is genuine, then the only thing that does make any sense is as you have highlighted, a customer return being sent out by mistake. Banggood will be able to confirm how they track orders, hopefully they list serial numbers on orders for waranty claims. At least that way, if you have to offer a return, you can ask for a picture of that number to ensure it matches.

Actually, I don't think that's a bad idea to do now while we're waiting for Banggood. He doesn't have to know if the number is catalogued or not, so you can say that the supplier is asking you for proof of identification by way of the serial number before they can take any further action to resolve the issue. If this is a scam, then he will know he has hit a brick wall, but if he sends a clear pic of the serial number, then the situation is quite real and a waranty claim is going to be unavoidable.

Today there was another option to have ebay step in and this is what I told them.

'I can't work thing out with this buyer' <- from a dropdown list

Really all I know is that I drop shipped a quadcopter to this person and at this point I am against any refund of anykind. I was paid for this quad by the buyer then I paid banggood.com to dropship this item. I am still new to this and thought that after this persons first deadline to give a refund went by that he had gone away. A week past his deadline and he tries this. I have contacted banggood just to see *if* its possible a used item shipped out but I am all but 100% sure that it didn't.

oh SOB I think my comments to ebay when this was raised to a case are visible to the buyer. It would have been nice not to name my source directly to that person!

That's quite interesting, if he was sure of his case he could have quite easily opened a dispute with PayPal. That's the only avenue open to him to get a refund.

Have you heard back from eBay yet?

I think you should get back onto Banggood support straight away. Don't just accept that they will get someone to contact you, ask to speak to a manager right away. You need them to send you an email confirming that the product sent was brand new, not second hand and you need to get that to eBay.

Yeah, that's pretty typical of this time of year. Festival time in China and no one seems to give a danm about business, I've seen this kind of thing happen time and time again in China.

Well I got an email and it completely ignores the issue I am having... I really think that this person will agree then later say its not working as he has already said he tried connecting his other camera and gimble of an older version of this quad (not just the gimble) to this newer quad and it didn't work. Plus its not just the gimble he says does not work its both the camera and gimble which are by far the most expensive parts of this quad.

You need to read my emails and *know if you have sent out a used quad copter* to a dropshippers customer. This person claims both the gimble, camera and possibly the connections to the quad itself do not work and is insisting on a refund! I have been defending myself saying they were sent a new and unused quadcopter but I do not know and you have not answered me about if you have sent out a used item. I do not believe your festival has been going on for 3 weeks which is the time period I have been trying to communicate this to you. EBay is involved with this trade now and all I could tell them is that I have not heard back from you and still you do not answer my question. I really do not believe that a gimble is going to be good enough for this person he says the quad is broken.
