If this is your first time selling might be best to go the dropshipping route to minimize risk for loss as well as get the chance to test your market.

Once you have established your market it will be a good idea to mix your dropshipped items with a few wholesale items to help maximize your profits.

A lot of sellers use drop shipping to find which product will sell. They don't intend to make a profit and may even take a small hit when an item sells just to see if it sells. Then they source where to by wholesale.

What's great about this method is for very small money you can experiment with several selling methods on eBay and get creative without investing a dime in product. When you find that product...boom buy it up and sell it.
