I agree fully that many of the reports are a result of consumer stupidity. And quite honestly, I rarely put a lot of stock in that website. There's a lot of bitter people on there.
But in this case, it's the volume of reports that would have me concerned if I were a new purchaser. I'm sure there are others on the Ripoff Report with as many complaints, but not many. And I'm sure not many combine the volume with the level of venom spewed by those making claims.
On a personal level, my complaints are of a completely different nature. I purchased something that was completely misrepresented in an ad. When I confronted an employee (not Joe directly, so only an indirect reflection on him), this employee admitted their ad was misleading. This employee went on to tell me that I could 'just lie to my customers. They'll never know the difference.'
Sorry, but that's not the way I do business. I then of course had to pay to ship the products back plus a restocking fee for something they admitted was misrepresented in the ad. Several hundred dollars wasted.
Again that's in the past and maybe things have changed. But that's why I won't be back.
