Hi Rashmz,
It would be better to start selling stuff from around the house that you no longer need. Starting this way would help you gain experience without much risk, gain feedbacks to build your eBay reputation and most importantly, find a good niche market in order for you to compete.
With drop shipping, you don't get volume discounts because you are not buying in bulk and since it is given that most wholesalers and bulk buyers sell on eBay, for you to compete, you have to choose your market carefully. Go for one with less competition and avoid hot and popular products like electronics. They are usually way too competitive for a small seller.
We offer a lot of great resources for those who are new to online selling and to selling on eBay. Please click on the 'Education' tab on any SaleHoo Pages to view them and if you haven't yet, download our PDF Bonus Guides by clicking on the 'Bonus Guides *New*' on the left-hand side of the SaleHoo Members Page.
Hope I have given you some ideas. If you have any other questions, please let me know.
I wish you all the best :)
