Afternoon,

I am looking to start my own online boutique. I have been researching wholesale suppliers and there is one lot I am interested in from one company. However I am unsure as to certain items listed on the manifest. Some items are describe as CRC - non merchandise use only. I was told that they are items the store was not able to scan. Has anyone purchased lots like this? It is a lot of hand bag and I just want to make sure the items are something that I can actually sell and not get stuck with.

Hi Natasha and welcome to the forum,

This sounds like a liquidation lot you are speaking about, not really a wholesale purchase. I'm not familiar with the term CRC myself, so I can't really advise with any sort of accuracy as to what it means exactly. It sounds like the supplier has furnished you with an explanation, which I have no reason to doubt.

Could be multiple reasons why an item wouldn't scan into stock, I don't see that being anything that could effect the resale of a product in any way. I would suggest that you get an assurance from the supplier that there is no issues in reselling, but I can't imagine there would be.

Are we talking about an approved SaleHoo supplier?

Its VIA TRADING I believe they are listed in the Salehoo directory.

Yep, if they tell you they are fine to sell, then they are fine to sell. One of the most respected suppliers in the liquidation market and I'm quite happy to personally recommend them as I've done personal business with them myself.
