How to find items with a good profit margin

Hi guys I'm fairly new to this, and started searching things like airsoft guns, led tv's, etc. First, have any of you used any of these products? Second, in your opinion, what is a healthy enough profit margin to buy and sell a product? Thirdly, do you have any suppliers in mind that off high profit margins. Thanks for any replies! Can't wait to start selling. i don't really mind what the product is, I just want a healthy profit margin to get started.

The first question would be, what method are you using as a supply option, for example wholesale, dropshipping, surplus, second hand?

Thanks for your response and I realize I left out some key information. I would be looking for a wholesale supplier to sell on ebay. I was wondering if any suppliers were know to provide high profit margins? Most of the websites I have visited have little room for profit, so I'm not sure it would be worth it.

Hi John,

Wholesale pricing works on volume, so websites can't usually display those sorts of prices. It's best to discuss with the in person, and once they know the volume that you want to order in, they will then be able to give you a per unit price. From there, you would then need to look at your competition in the market you are selling in to see how all those prices stack up.

That's the only effective way of really measuring up the profitability of a product.
