I'm in the US, but I've had good experiences with amazon.com I've been selling there for about 6 months now. It's much easier than ebay for media items such as books CDs and DVDs. amazon sells arn't as quick as ebay but they usually turn over higher profits item for item. I handle all my own packing and have a massive invintory make pretty good money. Although they have screwed up recently and removed nearly all my listings. All in all I make good money with them and as long as you get everything out in the alloted time you won't have any problems. I wouldn't recommend dropshipping there because alot of dropship suppliers have too long a handling time.
Its good to see that Amazon is working out for you but you shouldn't trust them. I am a former seller from Amazon, although I would still be selling on Amazon if it weren't for the selfish competitors reporting you falsely to get your account suspended and kicked off Amazon, I do agree that the income was the best I ever had but I had never dealt with a service so unfriendly and unprofessional like Amazon. Amazon is sugarcoated and 'two-faced', they present you with lots of traffic and great seller tools and marketplace, but once your account gets temporarily suspended they send you to the worst seller department they have which they call 'Amazon Seller Performance' formerly 'The Alliance', dealing with these guys is just like dealing with a bunch of ignorant and rude people. There is no number to contact them directly to get your account back online, and the only way to contact them is only through e-mail, and it takes them about 2 days to respond to your emails, when I had a problem with them I had a lot of merchandise and it was all frozen because one customer complained that it took 'years' for their order to arrive, it was only 5 days! On the day that my amazon account was officially suspended I kept sending them emails to try and explain what was going on, all I received was a nice formally typed email explaining that they will ignore any more emails I sent them and any subsequent accounts would be suspended also. The thing is many sellers like me are suspended and they did not mean to do anything bad towards Amazon. I have always wondered how Amazon tracked subsequent accounts since they always say they can't reveal the way they get their data, but many people believe that Amazon uses illegal equipment to trace suspended sellers to prevent them from creating new accounts. What I am trying to say is if you are going to be dealing with Amazon don't get to attached to it and find another way to make your income because once Amazon randomly decides to freeze your account and cancel all your listings, and hold all your earned money for 90 days (They don't care if its $5 or $100,000 you made they will freeze it and leave you without money) there is no way you will get through Amazon seller performance. I am also considering to start a petition from sellers that were suspended to remove the Amazon Seller Performance, but the bottom line is watch out with Amazon I have no idea how Jeff Bezos let his own business be so cruel to sellers that make him money, I would suggest to change your Amazon Payments settings to daily payments,in this way if you were ever to be suspended you won't be in financial problems like I was in. Trust me you don't want to be in the place I was for 3 long Months because of Amazon. In all, I am very unsatisfied with Amazon's Merchant Services and so are many other sellers.
