Hello my friends!

I need some good advice. I am completely new here on salehoo and I have a few questions.

1. I am tired of e-bay and their high fees and competition, I am considering buying a cheap website and generate traffic through google and yahoo, is there anyone here who has become successful through their own webshop?

2. I am from sweden and wonder if I have done right when I bought the membership of salehoo it seems that it is most for the the U.S. population, hope I am wrong.

3. I import allmost everything from China but the problem is that allmost are copies of everything but even though it is copies it is selling everywhere.

Does anyone know of good suppliers for Europe?

Hope for your help!

Thanks

John

Hi John,

1. I am tired of e-bay and their high fees and competition, I am considering buying a cheap website and generate traffic through google and yahoo, is there anyone here who has become successful through their own webshop?

We would estimate about half our members have their own webshop. It's a great alternative to eBay - cheaper and gives you more control. There are some great free store options out there like BuyItSellIt and eCrater which make it easy for newbies to get their online store up and running. Please visit the following links:

SaleHoo is available worldwide and we have thousands of members based outside the US. Approximately 75% of our suppliers ship worldwide and the best deals are often found outside the US in countries such as China, Hong Kong and the UK. If you want to locate European wholesalers in SaleHoo try doing this:

**Search for 'a' in the search bar and then sort by country. You will then be able to find all of the European wholesalers in the directory. Here is the search page :

That would actually depend on what type of products you are looking for. We have quite a number of European suppliers in the directory. So what products are you interested in? - Let us know and we'll try to find the right suppliers for you.

Cheers! :)

Dont forget bonzanzle.

Yeah if you want to get on what is seriously exploding and starting to take off, get on Bonanzle.

They are an incredibly good auction alternative and have lots of articles written about them.

I would suggest also if you do have your own store, look into direct selling too or at least investigate merchant / ecommerce as that is a different world but has higher advantages (ultimately)

A great place for direct selling I've found is ioffer.com. It's NOT an auction, just direct sales, you can list any products you wish FOR those sales and here's what happens:

- A buyer will find you off the shopping network, the buyer might be anywhere in the world at that time. They'll give you an offer. As a store you have two choices: Accept the offer or work with them to give a counter offer, and then keep going on each side until the offer is agreed.

This is what they mean by ' I OFFER' basically :

- You can either buy at a fixed price, or 'BARTER' with the other store owners for 'NEW' and 'SPECIALLY PRICED' merchandise in any way you see fit.

That means you can also trade items straight out, so if you have something you want TRADE for it - it works instantly!

What I would do is take what you see is selling, and upload it to Froogle Product search or another large shopping directory as well.

That way your store receives three times as much traffic as before so you get automatic buyers.

What's good is that they will submit 'OFFERS' too, so if something seems dicey people simply barter back & forth on ioffer. Sell it at the OFFER that is really what works, and just straight sell across.

There's no 'BIDS' there is no AUCTIONS to be HONEST.

IOFFER has over 80,000 something sellers on at a time and sometimes well over 50,000 buyers per day. Why? Because its a direct sales marketplace it's no different then Yahoo shopping!

Except of course, you can CHOOSE your price most of the time at I OFFER if the offer is put forward. Other places you can not, and are not allowed to.

I OFFER is less of an official competitor to EBAY and more of a 'COMPETITOR' to Craigslist itself. It's a HUGE marketplace.

IF you have the traffic going and have your shopping feeds out there in the keyword searches I OFFER also brings direct sales. Sometimes more sales then usual, since you'll have people from all over the world.
