I want to let people know about my recent wining of two auctions on liquidation.com. I bid on two seperate diamonds, thinking i would get a great deal if i won them. Well i did win them both, for what price is irrelavent, but when the first turned up i took it to a specialist to find out that the certification was completely different to the stone they sent to me and also that i had been ripped off. This auction site has a huge amount of real bargains. Just be sure to do all your research before bidding. If you are over seas, they only allow three days for returns. This is not enough time. By the way, the second stone was also different to the certification, but still a good buy!

Glad to see that you got something out of the deals Darran, but your warning is certainly timely with Christmas bidding just around the corner.

It really does pay to do as much research on the seller you are wanting to bid with, because you can come undone really quick on that site.

Yeah I heard a rumor that liquidation.com was working with paypal to sell counterfiet items. Im not sure if this is true but Ebay deleted all posts about the scam when they got busted and ebay sellers were in an uproar.

Good point jimmy, I haven't heard anything more of that little story as well. Anyone out there know how this story ended up, or at least any more detail?

I read a little on google news from news sites on the net but never heard much more about the story afterwards. Ebay must have shut them up lol. I saw many listings online from ebay forums and clicked on the links and it said the message I was trying to find idnt exist. Meaning ebay deleted them.

Right now I am not sure I trust liquidation.com anymore at least for heavy designer items like purses and such

I'm assuming they were being distributed by Liquidation.com themselves, as it was there address that was linked to PayPal in the threads I read.

i was looking at liquidation.com as a source but, at this point, they're too untrustworthy to even waste time researching. Even though liquidation.com is a publicly traded company, ive read that they don't do much to protect the buyers in the auctions. This kind of reminds me of alibaba.com with all those chinese counterfeiters. I was in the golf industry for a while and know about it quite well ~ but most of it has stopped due to tightening of customs regulation. That doesn't mean people can't find ways to sneak it into the country though.

i forgot which seller it was on there but there were a lot of complaints from customers about their items being DOA with no protection whatsoever and left without any courses of action to take. No wonder so many wannabe business owners are frustrated, its crap like this that makes being a business owner such a hassle.

Well the buzz that started it all was that when buyers made counterfeit claims with paypal. They would get their items refunded and win the dispute with the seller. They were then instructed to mail the items to a location where they would destroy the item. Apparently one buyer got curious because the address they supplied in Texas was familiar to them.

They searched the address and came up with one of liquidation.com' s warehouses address in Texas and they then posted this scam on the ebay forums. Then a mob of people that had to do the same thing did their own checking and verified that Liquidation.com was receiving these counterfeit items. And reselling them on that site.

This caused a 3 day uproar with thousands of random posts all over the ebay forums and then they all vanished from ebays forums meaning ebay deleted all the posts regarding this situation.

So big cover Up? Possibly.

Not all the time, I have spoken to members who have turned a tidy profit, and actually continue to do so.

I think the big secret there is to find the right supplier, and then just keep your fingers crossed that the auction stays at a decent value.....lol. Half of it is research and half luck with the bidding!

I have bought several things from Liquidation.com. I have received good phone service and products have been as advertised. My only complaint is that my father picked up a purchase at their Garland, TX. warehouse and was treated very rudely. Other than that I am a satisfied customer. I am making a decent profit on all of my purchases!
