How to sell on Amazon

Hey guys,

I need help on Amazon. I'm just starting to try out amazon and have no idea where to start. I have an account but don't know where to go from there. Anybody know how to explain it in a nutshell? I'm a small time seller and have only used ebay but am trying to make a transition. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

With Amazon you have 2 choices. Either you can list an item that is identical to one that is already selling or you can upgrade to their premium account & list whatever you want. This will allow you to post your own pictures & write your own descriptions. I think it's $40/month. Just read through all the ways to sell on the Amazon website. It's pretty self explanatory. Thanks...does the item have to be exactly the same?...for example can im into selling swimwear...if i have a roxy bikini top can i just list it with the other roxy bikini tops? Or does it have to be same design, color, etc...

You have to input what your item weighs & then Amazon automatically calculates the shipping charges according to what services you offer. You won't lose money on shipping. I am not sure how international shipping works through them because I only ship to the US when I sell through there.

but do you have to send the item to amazon ?? or you ship it from your locations ? do they provide the amazon boxes ??

Oh, my bad. No you have to ship the item from your home or wherever. You have to supply the shipping supplies obviously.

Well, that's up to you. I don't know what products you plan on selling. If you sell on FeeBay & are selling a good volume you are paying probably that much anyway between them & PayPal. If you have identical products then I would go that way & sell your other ones somewhere else.

Amazon recently released their "Suggested Products feature" where as sellers you will find the products with high demand yet low in supply. I think you may find this useful. More about it through the forum link below:

You may want to use our 'Search in the forum' feature on the upper left side panel and you'll be amazed at the information you can find in our forum.

I would like to add that Amazon has a "0" Zero Tolerance, If you screw

up and misrepresent your items your OUT no questions asked. And

you can never be a seller again.

Been there done that!

Not only you maing the mistake but anyone connected to you. My wife got booted off Amazon and because they can link us they will not allow me to have an account with them. Talk about strict, my wife and I do not even sell the same products.

by the looks of this the featured products list is either worldwide or us based

I was looking for more of a uk based resource I have tried changing the .com to .co.uk I now get europe services but no suggested products

so I assume us in the uk dont get this tool
