Is it better to flood the market with heaps of products?

Is it worth using Auctiva or should I just stick with my eBay store?

Dealing with Chinavasion, I try and keep the price low so I get the sale, is it better to just flood the market with heaps of product and hope for a sale, I currently have 9 items and want to increase, also looking at other wholesalers.

Very little doubt that the more products you have listed, the more your chances increase of making sales, within reason of course. The thing you have to balance is the outlay for listing in volume against the return you are making.

I would suggest trying that type of strategy where you are not paying listing fees up front, somewhere like ecrater or Bonanzle, or some other free listing site.

Yes, the traffic volume may well not be that of an eBay, but it will be a lot easier on your pocket and save on start up costs if you are still trying to get established in the market.

Speaking of traffic - listing your products in various sites will give you the opportunity to drive traffic from one site/store/listing you have to another, ultimately increasing your chances at getting your products sold!

I'm not well aware of how your eBay store is doing (although I sincerely hope its doing well) so it would be hard to say, go with Auctiva or stick with your eBay store. not seling much at all, no idea why, I generaly are lower than most, offer free postage, starting to add postage to try that.

Not sure what I am doing wrong but now have 10 things listed.

waiting on topbuy to set me up as a reseller, also registered the domain austgaragesales.com and waiting on my fav hosting company to start breathing again.

You must not be too hard on your self, the competition on eBay has gotten quite stiff over the last couple of years - imagine a 670% rise in the total number of listings?! That's quite a lot to compete with and buyers these days have gotten smarter - they now do their own research before actually buying stuff, impulse buying is almost a thing of the past!

Sometimes, we may think we have given it (our listings) our all. But we may have missed 'something' that's why we just can't close a deal...Here's an article I read recently which you may find interesting as the tips may help you get the sale you been waiting for.
